Privacy Policy

KidWiz respects family privacy by default.

This policy explains what KidWiz stores, what it does not collect, and how the app handles family learning data.

Effective date: June 17, 2026

Quick Summary

  • No KidWiz server account is required.
  • No ad tracking or third-party analytics SDKs.
  • Learning data stays on the device unless you export or share it yourself.
  • Profile details and custom decks are controlled by the family using the app.

1. Overview

KidWiz is a learning app for children and families. It is designed to keep the core experience simple, local, and private. The app does not require users to create a KidWiz account, and it does not run its own cloud profile system.

2. What Information KidWiz Stores

KidWiz can store information directly on the device so the app can remember progress and settings between sessions.

  • Child profile details entered by a parent or guardian, such as name, age, and profile photo.
  • Progress data like stars, best scores, completed cards, and saved deck sessions.
  • Custom categories, flashcards, imported decks, and cover images created inside the app.
  • App preferences such as read-aloud speed, picture mode defaults, hints, haptics, and visual themes.

3. What KidWiz Does Not Collect

KidWiz is not built around behavioral tracking or advertising data collection. Based on the current app structure:

  • No advertising SDKs are included.
  • No third-party analytics or tracking profiles are used.
  • No location collection, contact harvesting, or background monitoring is part of the app experience.
  • No KidWiz-operated external server is required to use the core flashcard experience.

4. Permissions

Some features may use Apple system permissions when a family chooses to use them.

  • Photos access may be requested so parents can choose profile pictures, category cover images, or answer images for custom cards.
  • File import may be used when parents bring in custom learning content from supported files.

These features are optional. Families can manage permissions at any time in iPhone or iPad Settings.

5. Children's Privacy

KidWiz is intended for family use and early learners. Parents or guardians should supervise profile setup, custom content creation, and any images added to the app. If you believe information was added in error and should be removed, please delete it from the device and contact the KidWiz team through the support route published with the app release.

6. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated as KidWiz evolves. When changes are made, the effective date on this page will be updated to reflect the latest version.
